Breydon Verryt-Reid wins Youth of the Year & Public Speaking Award

The Lions Youth of the Year Regional final was held in Kalangadoo on Sunday, Breydon Verryt-Reid was the winner of two awards, the Public Speaking Award and the Youth of the Year award. Breydon will now proceed to the District final in Murray Bridge Saturday March 30.

Representatives from all over the Limestone Coast were present for the 10 contestants, including three Tenison Woods College staff members. Breydon was supported by Head of Senior School Sean Quirke, Director of Wellbeing Jennie Sanderson and Year 12 English Teacher Marilena Wilson.

There are three stages to the Lions Youth of the Year program. 70% of the points come from the interview, with 3 public speeches making up the rest of the points.
